It appears the smoke sticks last 2 hours and no buck is interested.

Lock on

Small buck cruising at daylight, hoping for some more action. One oatmeal cream pie just wasn’t enough for my breakfast

Last chance for the season. High risk sellout attempt. Me vs them. If I don't get busted, I'll hang a buck up tonight. If I do get busted, shame on me.

Out here for last chance of the year on youth hunt with the boy in a pop-up. Too sunny. Still some snow on the ground but I'm wearing 1 layer. Hopefully something gets hungry before dark. No one else was parked at the WMA as we came in, but someone was here this morning, even tracks past the gate. I guess TWRA gets to do what they want, the rest of us have to hoof it

Well, I did not get busted nor did I kill a buck.

I did almost get stepped on by a doe that never figured out what I was and a bunny rabbit as well, so that was fun. It is a good feeling to be such a sneaky bastard.

Took a buck at 312 yards with the 6.5 grendel with about 15 minutes of legal light left. He dropped right over, kicked a bit but stayed down. So excited.

Mrs Cat Squirrel finally broke the ice with her new rifle. She shot a doe this evening.

I think I’m more excited than she is.
