You are not a bass fishermen that's for sure. First time I have seen someone underestimate the size of their fish.

I catch them on a flyrod when the mayflies are hatching on the TN river. It's the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

Let me tell you how correct you are. My love is setting lines in the river. I grabbed an old catfish scale out of my boat.

Holding it I felt it was easily a 2 but I didn't want to stretch my catch so I hung it and was shocked it wasn't passed the 1/4 mark.

I kept waiting and waiting for him to straighten out the hook. When I finally lipped him I realized it was hooked in the soft tissue in the back of his throat- tongue, I suppose.
