No worries mate, you've done a lot of things that many people who've caught bass, haven't.

I've actually accidentally caught them while bream fishing...jus sayin.

Not sure when my first was..I was young. There have been days during bass tourneys where a man would wonder if I had ever caught one in my life. I hate getting skunked....it happens tho.

THAT is why I don't bass fish. When you catch it's as fun as it gets; however, too many days in the Burns or Lacassine and nothing to show but a sun burn.

Its those days where you catch big bass after big bass that makes me go back time after time tho. Nothing like a big bass nailing topwater.

Me: Dang it was tough today
Partner: Yeah, no one caught 'em today
Me: I'd be surprised if there's any sacks over 13 lbs
Partner: Yeah, I bet any 5 gets a check

Miss bass fishing. One of the best sporting fish to catch.

Mainly various pacific salmon, halibut, grayling and trout. Other things as well but these are the best known. Steelhead is probably my favorite to catch up here, freshwater..flyfishing.

Bass is the most fun to catch of any though, we don't have them.

Nope. On the coast, everything we have is related to being born in freshwater, (except halibut) going to saltwater a few years then coming back to spawn in freshwater. In the interior you have stuff like pike, sheefish etc. Huge freshwater fish but no bass.

Steelhead are fun to catch on fly gear. Situk River in SE is the premiere steelhead river in the world. They are huge.

Nah, but some species of Salmon fight similar to the way bass do. It's a lot different than taking a buzz bait to your local pond though. Probably the biggest thing I miss about the South is bass fishing.
