PSA - if you or a family member work for a federal, state, or local government agency (police, fire, military, local school, etc.) you can get a membership at LEO adventures and get 40% off of anything on Sitka's website. They offer discounts from various outdoor brands. It's 20 or so dollars a year which you would more than make back with your first purchase.

Here are some of the brands and discounts offered.

Tell them they need to update their outdated website.

Everyone can hate on it all they want. When I first got it in I thought it might be too bright. Along side blades and max 4-5 in the early or late season it blends better than both. my favorite piece is a solid heavy weight hoodie.

I am not too sold on all of those crazy looking patterns...I say if you want to blend in with a tree, why not use a pattern that looks like a tree?...

Because from far away and the distances that an animal will see you, you will look like a black blob standing next to a tree. The same goes for Mossy Oak Break Up and stuff like that. The grid patterns work for what they were designed to do, break up your silhouette so that an animal cant see you against another back drop. That's why KUIU patterns are so great along with First Lite's ASAT pattern. That ASAT pattern is pretty amazing at blending in with almost any surrounding, especially from a distance.

black, green and/or brown it ain't that complicated

There's actually ALOT more white in any backdrop landscape than any other color. Just dark colors mesh together at more than 50 yards or so and make you look like a solid color that exposes your silhouette. There's no perfect pattern for ALL environments, but I think that First Lite ASAT is the most versatile of all the patterns on the market.

This is me in Colorado with alot of different colors all around me in KUIU Vias camo.

The way an animal would see me.

I wear mossy oak bottomland and have had turkeys less than 10 feet from me. The MAIN thing about blending in in the woods is being still.

I'm just surprised and relieved you haven't attempted to incorporate a picture of your bearded dog into this thread.

Whatever kind of camo you put on your face, you need to wear that all over.
