Same here. I just like to debate...but nothing really bothers me. It's the internet. People that hold internet grudges need to get a life

Meh. Resale shouldn't factor that largely into the truck you buy. No matter what kind of truck you get, it's gonna depreciate a shite-ton in it's first couple of years. I know KBB isn't worth a crap...but they have my truck worth a little more than $27,000 in excellent condition (it's damn near that). Really not terrible...given I was out the door after TT&L for a little over $36,000.

I dunno about that one. Most people I know only keep trucks for ~5yrs. Resale should be a large factor in that case. FWIW, my truck has only lost $200 of value since I bought it. It was 2 years old, bought it for $26.9 and it was worth $26.7 last time I checked. That was 2 years and 40k miles ago. I have an unusual case b/c it booked out to $32k at the time I bought it. Spent a lot of time looking, but got a great deal

I forgot to add in my OP...everyone I have worked with has had either a Tundra or an F250. The Tundras ride kinda rough, but hold up really well to 50k miles a year with 1/4 of that being off-pavement. The interiors aren't that nice, but they are a solid truck.

You bought new or used?

ETA: NVM, saw where you said it was 2 years old when you bought it. That's what I was saying though...doesn't matter what truck you buy, the first two years (assuming you buy new), it's going to lose a nice chunk of value. Used is a different story because someone else already took the hit for you.

I just sold my 08 tundra with55k miles for what I paid for it 2.5 yrs ago. I did buy it private party and I sold it my dealership. I am a sales manager for a pre-owned dealership in Abbeville. Crazy thing is I sold it for 3k less than retail book. Even made a little profit! Had bought truck when market was in the tank and now they are bringing damn near gold. Crazy how markets change
