Tensas parish.

No annoying people.
Fresh country air.
Best fishing hunting and farmland in state.
Big nice lake for skiing riding party barge.
Black bear golf course 20 mins away.

Concordia parish basically same place.

Negative on the Sip towns. Would go to Monroe before Vicksburg. My in-laws live up the road from Tensas on the Arkie/LA state line and have Greenville or Bastrop to choose from and the choice is always Bastrop. Monroe still for the important shite.

Ruston is the only name on here I recognize, but I have a feeling they're all too far from the coast

can you fish for redfish in your yard?

I can do that behind my condo by Chef, and specs, greet trout and lakerunners too. It's damn nice for an area that's only half hour from a lot of good NOLA jobs. But, it's only good for hunting if you bring a kids under 15.

If I had to do all my hunting and fishing in one area, I'd pick the Atchafalaya basin.

Well Rocky Branch is mine by default. My folks built their retirement home up there overlooking the DeLoutre and the Ouachita River and by the time I am ready to pull the plug I imagine my folks will be heading to the nursing home. Sterlington will probably be built out and be Monroe North by then so not to far to travel for food and drink.
