By the time my mushroom tip looks like it has an innertube wrapped around it, it's too late.
Poison Ivy doesn't bother me much anymore, but as a kid I would get it by just looking at it. No running water at the camp we hunted at, so if you pulled it out to piss, you were fricked. This was also in the basin, so it was everywhere.

I lived with poison ivy in the spring and summer as a kid. Then one day we thought it would be a good idea to eat some. We thought that's what the indians did to prevent it.

But guess what. I've never had it since then, and I haven't really changed my habits towards it, just not allergic anymore I guess.
