Why is the bow not hooked? I always hook bow strap before pulling boat out of water.

Lots of people don't. I never did on my first two bass boats because they would not move a mm from the roller when pulled out. I only do now because my bay boat slips a little.

My bay boat has the teflon covers on the two center boards. The rest are carpet but that boat slides up and down so easy. I can winch it up all the way to the D-ring with no effort. It would for sure fall off if i dont have it hooked up when pulling out the water

Anybody that doesn't hook the boat up before pulling out is just asking for trouble and deserves any damage that results. Same goes for those that unhook before they are on the ramp...sometimes shortcuts are for dummies!

Ouch. He will never make that mistake again. Mine is hooked when both loading and unloading.

That one time I had to go swimming for my boat taught me that lesson.

But what does it hurt to latch the winch before pulling up?

Yay, I'm a dummy!

Seriously. I've never done it any other way. I SMH at those who wait. Frickin' boat newbs.

So even if you have a buddy in the boat to back it off the trailer you leave to bow ties to the trailer?

Imma go ahead and call bullshite on that.

These big aluminum salmon boats around here don't slip but there's always 1 a year.

I never unhook before unloading and I always hook up after loading.

That's exactly what my buddy and I do with his 40k aluminum boat.

Every. Damn. Time.

We aren't going to be the guy posted all over NW Fishing Addicts Facebook page and kill our season.

Eta....id catch a ton of shite because I always post pics of the idiots who get stuck on a sand bar and have to wait for the tide to turn
