We have to hit the road early to make it back to town by lunch, so I just rolled outta bed and opened my window to watch the feeder below the house. I think this is the most deer I've seen in any hunt this year.

Working a half day, then going to the woods.

Good luck all, and Merry Christmas!

Claiborne parish 43 degrees. Tripod over food plot in bottom. Doe busted me early as I eased the rifle over to shoot her for sausage. Looks like this one is over.

At 7:47 am?
Dang, I wish I had known that 60 years ago, I wouldn't have wasted all that time continuing to sit up in those trees.

Course, I wouldn't have killed 80% of the bucks I killed during those years, either.

As far as weekdays, I only go the Wednesday before thanksgiving and one or two weekdays during the Christmas holidays so I'm not sure if it's a true gauge. Seems to be around the same amount then as there is during the weekends. Today seemed like it was the most crowded of all my trips and by far the least amount of shooting. Quiet sky.
