I have 1 month until I acquire this yak, I keep second guessing my choice of the A10 and its driving me fricking nuts. I read 20 reviews "this bitch is awesome dude, rides like a dream" so I'm feeling good about it, then I see "tracks like an inner tube" and I get sad. I just want to buy it so I can regret it for a second, then adjust as usual.

only reason why it wouldn't track good is cause of the length. put a rudder on it and you will be fine

It looks like I might have to fashion one on there myself, but a rudder is looking like a good investment.
Dust, yes I am all over the weight, since I am a brisk and agile 155 lbs, I would rather not have a boat pile drive me at the launch.

I want one and would need to get one for each kid. So $300 per for the A10 would be a winner.
Is the only difference between the A10 and FS10 the rigging for fishing gear? Looks like the hulls are the same.

From what I understand:
A10 - 299 - basic, flat hull
D10 - 399 - same hull as A10, foot pegs, rod holders
FS10 - 499 - all accessories, more streamlined hull
ETA: This is what I have gathered from the internet. I have not compared in store.

I went and sat in the A10 yesterday, and really liked it. The seat is very comfortable, and I like how it is wide open behind the seat. I had my boots on, so there really wasnt any room for my feet up front, it kind of worried me (I'm 6'2), so I need to go sit in it again with regular shoes.
The only other comperable yak for $299 is the Old Town Vapor 10 Sit In. It is on sale at Academy, looks pretty nice, but has no storage like the A10, just a little spot in the back.

I go barefoot as well, but I bring my Cajun reebox with me in case I gotta get out and use the bathroom in a remote spot.

10/4, the only time will be when Im duck hunting, I guess I can just kick my knees up and sit with my feet flat. This shite is really starting to stress me out, mainly because I have to keep this extremely cheap. I just hope whatever I get will work for a while.

as long as it floats you will be good, but you will want to upgrade soon i promise you that. i wanted to upgrade the day i bought mine

Ross, what are your reviews on the D10 you have? I sat in the A10 and liked it, but not much room up front. I was wondering where the hell they fit the foot pegs on the D10?
