Great for hunting on public land; just have to stay under HP limit on USFS/some states. Also can attach gamecart to back and quiet.

Have one of mine for sale as Dad can’t use anymore due to physical issues.

There are 2 threads on this already.

On some NWR’s you cannot use them on non- maintained roads. The definition of maintained is in the brochure which is usually available at every check station.

There have been heavy complaints at refuge headquarters from what i hear, coming from long time hard working hunters that are seeing these e bikes off the maintained trail.

Also, pulling any kind of trailer behind one is also illegal on particular NWR’s. That is also in the brochure .

Great for going back into those overgrown roads. You can ride right by guys on stand and they don’t even know you’re there.

I use a regular ole pedal bike quite a bit. The deer don't spook the same as if you were walking or on a fourwheeler. In the morning I've ridden past deer bedded up 20 yards from the road and they didn't even get up. I'm going to get a e-bike soon since it looks like the laws are going to be getting more favorable towards them. They tear trails up less than a fourwheeler.

ETA: I also prefer a bike to a fourwheeler because the dinks I shoot seem to know what the sound of one means.

I bought one this past season and I love it. I put a lot of work in during the off-season scouting on foot and finding places I'd like to hunt. It's common for me to walk 10-11 miles a day when I'm scouting.

This pays dividends during the season because I know exactly where I want to go and I use my e-bike to get there. I am able to stay a lot quieter on the way there and a lot less sweaty. For folks like EF Hutton that say it's lazy... they are just ignorant to the work that goes into the off-season. But yes, follow the rules of the land you hunt to stay legal.

What does this have to do with it? Not everyone puts in the work.

I say over and over and get downvoted for it and that's fine, but the reality is Ebikes let fat lazy people get to places that those that want to put effort into the work to get AWAY from others. Now if you want to ride ebikes on roads that can be driven, I have no issues with that at all.

Ebikes on roads that can be driven for say Turkey would be a major asset. But should these be allowed? Where I hunt a lot of the roads are soft sand and very difficult to peddle, almost impossible with a standard bike you need a fat tire bike.

I just personally like some land to be only accessible by those that really want to put in work to hump it back there. And that stays mostly quiet for most of the year.

I don’t remember saying anything about lazy. And i can assure you, post season scouting has been getting done for 22 years. We just learned not to broadcast anything. Nothing. Crickets.

And i agree with baldona.

Violating the non maintained trail usage law won’t fly though. People been walking that since 1980. It’s the reason hard core hunters stay in shape, exercise, and eat healthy. No cheat codes. Work!

I bought this one from Leise Motors. The Appalachian model.
1000w 5” tires and all the fixings. Trailer too.
My model is in camo. When I take delivery I’ll snap a few pics.
We hunt in large private tracks in Texas, La and Ark. this should be fun.

Love mine! Use it on public land in MS. When I pull up to a gated rd, if someone is already there then I go elsewhere. So no driving by anybody from me. I used to ride a regular mountain bike but not sweating from the bike ride is a game changer. Only regret is I didn’t get a step thru model.

During the rut, I’m typically 1-2 miles down the gated road. I get off the bike and lock it a few yds off the road. Then I still have a 500-800yd walk in the woods. I’ll sit all day when it’s on. Just makes life a little easier, just like someone who uses a four wheeler to retrieve their deer.

I normally trailer until the trail stops being maintained, then I ride my ebike another 2-3 miles through the woods making corn piles and setting up game cams along the way. I also kill every snake I see. If I have time after the morning hunt I like to go hole sit on other peoples brush piles at the nearest lake.

What do they cost now? I had one I bought for kids for Xmas but they didn’t use it or want it so I returned it about 10 years ago for around 300-400 dollars I wish I would have kept, I didn’t even think about using it for hunting but was a big tired electric mountain bike and was really fun to ride but idiots wouldn’t touch it

I have been using a regular mountain bike for right at 20 years, for turkey season. The ATV’s can’t be used then.
It was my little secret all this time. Hauled quite a few toms in that front basket. It has front disc brakes. When i first started doing it, wayy back around 02, at 4:30 am i hit that front brake and me, shotgun, and backpack all went over the handlebars frontwards, onto the ground. Them disc brakes work.

I also used it to fool the lazy hunters that i knew were scouting me. They would come park right behind me and come on in looking for a cheat code.
I started parking in a random dead spot, and riding the bike “ down the road some “ in the dark to the hot spot.
Them lazy dummies spent all morning down there by my truck.

That whole area is dead now, due to terrible select cut logging. Has been for years. I don’t even bring the bike anymore.

It never fails.. I can start reading one of your post and think its funny or even contain good and valuable information.
Then you turn into a dickwad.
I can almost always determine it's you before looking to the left to see who's post it is.
You seem to spend a lot of time in the woods and almost certainly could be a poster that provides good and valuable information.. Have you ever considered toning it down a bit and have other OB posters value your opinions instead of having them downvote you to oblivion? Or is that your schtick? It's fine one way the other, I am just curious.
I understand we all may disagree from time to time on different subjects but you're quickly becoming the Oweo of the OB.

Talked with them at the LA Sportsman Show over the weekend. Hadn't heard of Leise before that. What's your first impressions on the one you got?
