ETA that was a diamondback right? We have diamondback, timber, and pigmy here in Alabama but they say Birmingham is too far north for diamondback.

Ran across a couple when I was a kid around the parents land. Very few things make you as scared as when you hear that noise and don’t see the snake.

I will pick them up by the tail..put them in a freezer to skin and tan later,,just make sure he is frozen,,dead. Had a good friend at the camp open the freezer to get ice for his adult beverage,,a few hours later..buzz buzz..He nearly killed himself on a bar stool near by.
