Weatherman strikes again. Forecast today for Main Pass blocks was 1' foot seas or less. Buoys currently showing seas almost at 4'. Would've been pissed had I gone out.

I said 1 hour and even then that's pushing it.

I was at Dauphin Island a few years ago and we were fishing Dixey Bar.
No warning nor did it move in but a pretty bad shower popped up right on top of us.

No lightening or anything but pretty heavy wind and heavy rain.

All I could do was point the boat at a channel marker that was 20 ft from us and try to stay there with the nose pointing into the wind. Could not see anything past the marker so we couldn't try and get out of it.

It lasted maybe 10-15 minutes but it was not fun.

when I walk out of the camp for the fist time that morning and either say "no wind,should be calm" or "motherfrick where did this wind come from"
