Seeing headlines that they will begin talks to merge.
Would be interesting to see if honda can help with Nissan's quality issues:

I want to see Honda bring back the Titan.

The only quality issue nissan has, as far as I know, is those damn cv transmissions. It they would build titan, armada. murana, maxima, and the xterra again, they would be fine

I'd swap Murano with Frontier. Big/Little Truck & SUV and a car.

xterra again
Absolutely. People love the new Frontier, so I can't believe they haven't built a new X or Pathfinder on the same platform.

I meant to add frontier and left it off. Yes, they need a big and little truck.

I am not a fan of the modern pathfinder. They should build the old school body on frame solid rear axle xterra instead.
A competitor to the 4runner, jeeps, and broncos of the world.

That's what I mean-- back in the day the Pathfinder shared the pickup platform, and they should bring that back. The new one is a disguised mini van.

The Xterra drank gasoline like Nancy Pelosi at an open bar.

The truth is Nissan is trying to save their arse, Renault has hurt them badly

It was a midsize SUV rolling on a half ton driveline.
If you pick up a second gen xterra that either has a new radiator or is a 2011 or newer... You have a vehicle more reliable than just about anything made in the last 25 years.
I had a third gen and fifth gen 4runner. I had a second gen xterra. I maintain the xterra is more reliable and capable.
Just don't expect to go more than 300 miles between fill ups.
Because a new xterra doesn't exist, it's back to toyota this go round.

Been debating finding an xterra and getting rid of my titan

They need to bring back a true compact 4 banger pickup. Put a small diesel in it as an option and give us a 40mpg small pickup that can pull a 20ft boat

100% agree, make the pathfinder what it once was, an equivalent of the 4runner.

Renault and the CVT did Nissan in.

Who gives a frick, so does a 4runner.

A 2gen xterra pro4x with a 6 spd is an awesome rig.

How bout a Nissan hardbody 4x4 completely stripped down no power windows or locks only ac/heat.
Choice of 4 colors vinyl seats and flooring.
Probably could sell it for cheaper than a SXS.

Something like that would be tremendously popular, but the marketing people would kill it before it ever saw a drawing board.

Don't forget a manual trans, and manual hubs, maybe even a solid axle front on leaf springs. A forever truck.
