So I live out in the middle of nowhere in TX, and these feral fricking hogs that keep showing up at night and fighting my wolf hybrids. It’s annoying as hell because they keep me up at night with what sounds like WWlll and if they kill any of my dogs I’ll be pissed.

I haven’t been hunting since I was a kid, so I don’t really know where to start.

My nearest neighbor is a mile away, and hogs are legal to hunt 24/7 here. I have an AR15 shooting .300 blackout, a .40 S&W, a 12 gauge, and a bolt action.

How do I kill as many of these bastards as possible?

You live in the middle of nowhere in Texas with a small arsenal and you don't know how to kill hogs?

Something seems fishy here.

How much property you have in middle of no where TX? I can help with your problem. Shoot me a message.

As with any animal, bullet to head is best option.

Bleeding Purple is the board expert. Until he comes along, you're going to want to consider trapping. You can still shoot them in the traps, but shooting them - by yourself - is never going to reduce the population.

And one more thing - you're going to have to kill the cute little shoats and piglets - all of them. Even doing that - even literally decimating the population, they'll recover in about 24 to 36 months. So, you're sort of fighting a terminal disease, but I understand the urge.

You'll need to kill 70% of the population every year just to maintain the numbers.

I’m not from TX originally.

The land is 300 or so acres, mostly farmland. The hogs come from a wooded area behind the house that is all government property.

It looks like your best bet is going to be hosting a barbecue at your place and inviting as many coonasses as you can find.

Crushed clay targets (toxic kind) and diesel. You’re welcome.

I don’t have a helicopter, but there is a company that will let you fly over my area and shoot hogs out of a helicopter with a 50 cal. Ted Nugent owns it I think.

I think this is their site. It’s like 15 grand though.

What part of Texas? I've got multiple thermal optics and guns that could be of assistance if you're interested. I need a break from work and wouldn't mind a hog eradication weekend.
