Thanks - any idea on a ballpark value range?

I know condition is important obviously, but I have a family member wanting to purchase it and would rather he have it than it sitting in my closet any longer.

$450-750 depending on condition and barrel length and choke. If its a polychoke or Cutts gun yank his arm off if he offers $450

Surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet but please don't sell that shotgun. Or maybe you're just wondering the price just to know?

OP said selling to a family member. I'd have no problem with that. I've sold to and bought from family.

Damn, it knocks the value down that bad? I have my pawpaw's old '57 Light 12, and it has a Cutts on it.

Unfortunately yes it does. The Cutts or Polychoke guns are the least desirable of the Auto 5's. Its a shame too bc its a dang handy idea that was basically interchangeable chokes before their time

Damn. I mean, not that I would ever sell it, but didn't realize that hurt the value that much.

Well, cause it has some meaning to some people?

No need to be a dick about it.

That shotgun at its current age will outlast any modern semiauto made today. I own Benellis, Berettas, and others. They are good guns but not the quality of my A5s. I doubt any will last 60 years.

Some of us respect classics. Not everyone wants or needs the newest technology to hunt with. Not everyone wants a black synthetic or even worse camoed out gun. Sure we are in the minority, but we exist. What do you use, the latest and greatest 3 1/2" shotgun to miss your ducks with? I can't wait until they invent 4" shells me. Because it'll be the newest best thing.

I am currently in Atlanta. Find a fast food joint of your choice. You need an attitude adjustment.
