It looks like someone is saying not to use a revolver for personal/home protection.
I say use what fits and shoots best for you, whether that's a revolver or an automatic. It also seems like it might be a smart move for someone who doesn't really shoot much.

Definitely. These threads are as predictable as the truck threads. Someone asks for a fairly specific recommendation, and everyone comes out of nowhere with nonsense.
Unsuspecting Poster:
"Hey, I'm looking for a cheap truck just to haul some 2x4s once a year."
TD:
"Get an F250 or you're a pussy."
"Get a Silverado because Fords use aluminum and that's for pussies."
"Don't get a Ram because they're shite....and you're a pussy for even thinking about it."
Then, you get something even worse. You get the revolver knight of the truck world, who recommends a Civic because it's good on gas and really reliable. And golly gee, this one race car driver one time said Civics might be useful for some people sometimes. Oh, and even though you said you might need to haul some 2x4s at some point, you won't really need to do that because he doesn't do that.
