Looking for 150gr or higher 1400-2400fps. I cannot go any higher than 2400 And it can't be subsonic. No handloads either. I know there is at least one but I can't remember what it is. Anyone?

Unless it is a downloaded handload, you would have to go up to 200 grain factory loads to get down to 2400 fps

The min is 150 gr. I can go higher. Where I hunt has fighter jets and they have tight restrictions on bullet weight and speeds

what's your barrel length?
Slowest I've found is 2550 200 grain double tap from Midway.
If you have a 16-18" barrel, there is a chance it gets there.

Needs to say it on the box. I'll try the one listed below.

Look at reduced recoil loads from Hornady or Remington.

I’ve been shooting Hendershot 155 gr burgers. I don’t know if anyone else here uses them but they’ve been really good bullets for me.

I don't understand

They do not want ricochets to hit the jets. They're parked near the airstrip under big outdoor hangars. During certain times the air field is closed and they allow hunting.

Does it have to be a .308 or do you have any other options?
Something bigger and slower would make this a whole lot easier. Or just slower. 170gr .30-30 fits this just right.

Can be any other option. I use a 45-70 single shot and 300 blackout. Last year used the blackout. Killed deer fine but no blood trail. The 45-70 works great but is kind of limited in the distance category.

Man I'd just bring the .45-70 and not worry about this goofy shite. That's the easy button.

I don’t know if you have access to a 350 legend but my 180 power points say 2100 on the box and 170 interlocks say 2200 on the box.

I bring it. There's some spots I hunt that are over 300 yds though. You're right though. It's far superior.

I would just figure the drops to 300 and bring it and a rangefinder. These goofy .308 loads won't be worth a damn for that either, barely better than a .30-30 at best.

Ah ok. In that case I’d do like others have said and get a 45-70.
And I say that as someone who’s been wanting one of those new Marlin 1895s.
