Been shot at twice. Never hit. 2nd time I wasn’t the target just a wrong place wrong time situation where 4 people were shot including a guy 2 feet from me who got hit in the leg. Luckily no one died but it was kind of an infamous situation in my area that made the news and a business was closed due to the situation.

I’m glad to know you’re ok and I’ll send some prayers you’re way. Just goes to show accidents happen and life is fragile & precious.

Im gona be honest with you, Ive been working in the ER a long time and Ive seen A LOT of spinal injuries. You are a lucky guy..... very lucky. Thats incredible.

Question.... Did you have any temporary paralysis or was it just straight thru the skin?

No temporary paralysis, just SEVERE nerve pain. Never lost consciousness and was actually the calmest person in the whole situation. First thing I did when I woke up from surgery was walk outside, something my doctors didn't like very much it turned out.

I bet not. Wild story for sure. 99% of people who take a gunshot to the neck def do not go walking much after that. Thats awesome. Be careful out there bud

I'm sure he felt/feels like shite about it. You'd have to be a complete a-hole to not feel guilty about nearly killing someone. How do you properly apologize? This wasn't a "Whoops, my bad!" kind of mistake.

Check T-4's link posted at 6:30pm yesterday. The pics are still up.

Also check out BeHop's thread. It ought to be required reading for everyone.

Was shot in the neck, just to the left of my Adam's apple, with a .22 handgun, during a robbery attempt. Bullet hit vertebrae and ricocheted down my neck towards collar bone. Bullet's still there after 31 years. Everytime I get an x-ray, the technician asks, "what is that?"
Happened late night, when I was leaving a restaurant. I heard something behind me and turned around to see someone with a gorilla mask pointing the gun at my face just a few feet away. I panicked and try to push the gun away. I saw a bright flash, heard a loud bang, and was laying flat on my back.
I immediately got up, saw the shooter running away, and went back into the restaurant, telling staff I'd been shot.
Went to the restroom to look at the wound. It was just a tiny hole; hardly bleed at all.
Restaurant staff called police and an ambulance. I remember my neck starting to ache while waiting for the ambulance.
