As you probably know, I get a swarm every year. Looked back at previous photos and videos. This is the lowest traffic I have ever had on the last weekend of August.

i've read that they don't care for the store bought kind...it's easy to make, you can even do it in a microwave...i don't normally have much traffic, 2-3 birds come pretty steadily between migration times, so i don't put a lot of nectar out at a time...that way if traffic increases i can just add more feeders with a little more nectar than usual...

I have no theory other than possibly too stable of weather. Past years with a huge change had something going on like a front or a tropical system

10-15 at my feeders this morning...Tickfaw area. They are draining my bigger one in a day.
I've seen more in the past though so probably not at peak yet.
