Gunsmith in the BR area

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good gunsmith in the B.R. area?
I picked up a used Springfield 1911 and the thumb safety does not move all the way up in the slide slot, thus preventing the thumb safety from working.

Never seen this happen unless the hammer is not cocked.

Do you think its a factory or an aftermarket safety? Is it ambidextrous?
if it's aftermarket, it's actually pretty simple to remove and it likely needs just a very little filing done to get to lock completely.
Lost of videos on youtube to show you how to do it.

Take the grips off and see if it works. Bad fitting/too tight of grips will cause this sometimes.

Can you depress the plunger and make it work perhaps?
