Bear 4, Hunters 0...
Surprised with 2 run ins with Hunters, none of the 4 were carrying a sidearm. I believe its bow elk season but they may have been after something else also.

We have to carry a sidearm and bear spray with the guide service we use. Makes no sense not to have both

Lots of grizzly population growing quickly there and they are protective.

The bear probably has a kill in the area. Just stay away for a week or two, it will simmer down.

If I knew, for a fact, I was going to encounter a griz, I wouldn't go.
If I thought it was "only" highly likely, I would have 2 sidearms and a bodyguard whose specialty was "killing grizzly bears."
