Looking at buy a ZTR mower and, at the moment, have settled on the Gravely Zt HD 52". I haven't spoken to anyone that owns one, so I'm hoping someone on here has experience. I have close to 1.5 acres that I mow. Have two spots that are pretty steep. I only cut those vertically. Yard is mainly Bermuda. Settled on it because I've read the smaller inch cuts have a better cut, price is decent compared to other comparable models, and online reviews seem to be good(hard to trust online reviews though). Scag patriot is about $2k more, exmark is high, JD is high, hear good and bad about Hustler, never really considered Husqvarna, Toto, or cub cadet.

I run a Toro Timecutter 50 inch with the welded deck. Has the 23 HP twin cylinder Kawasaki. i cut 1.14 acres and have had it for a little over 4 years. Zero issues.

i only say this in case you decide to consider a Toro.

Can't compare to Gravely ZT HD to a Scag Patriot not even close to same. Gravely is more like a Freezom Z or Liberty Z.

I have had a 60" hd for just a few weeks and it is a tank, we love it, we keep about 3 acres up with it with no problem

Check with Hutchs ace hardware in Prairieville if it is anywhere close to you, they were great with me

I have the Kawasaki and glad I did, but it drinks gas

I have that mower. Had a guy stop last week and asked "how do you get your yard to look like".

Definitely recommend.

Did Hutchs, come off the price? I am Cenla but I don't mind making a trip somewhere if it's worth it.

I have the husqvarna mz52 with Kawasaki.

It's got a lot of the commercial features but doesn't cost as much as some of its competitors.

I got mine for just under 4K.

Love it so far.

Have had that exact mower 5 years now. Cut 3 1/2 acres with it. Most of the time tall and wet. Ultimate machinery abuser here. I've changed the oil only once. I know I know. It's still a beast like the day I bought it.

I Think they are great mowers. Went with the Ariens Ikon x52, it was cheaper ($3k) and I liked the deck on it. Believe it had the same engine and I mow about 5 acres. But have a buddy with a ZT and its a good mower.

I just bought a 60" ZTHD with the Kawasaki a month ago. That thing is a beast!! I mow 2 1/2 - 3 acres, it has cut my mowing time in half compared to my old Husqvarna 54".

Get it, you wont be disappointed!

Just make sure you ask if the recall on the pulley spring is complete. My BIL just bought one and 2 weeks into it his Gravely breaks a spring. Fixed it when he brought it in but it was still a pain. They said it was a bad batch of springs. Other then that I think it's a good mower. I just bought the Hustler 54 Fastrak and I like it a lot so far. It's only been 2 weeks though.

I have the 44HD. It's been a great machine. I've cut with it for 3 years and have had 0 issues with it. Thinking about trading up and getting the 60".

I've got a gravely 260 with 29 hp efi Kohler. Cut 21/2-3 acres. I've had it 2 seasons and it has been flawless. I'm extremely happy. Would buy again.
