How about warthogs? I read that some had escaped high fence ranches and were reproducing.

I always wanted to go to South Texas hunting. We (wife and I ) went to Doss.outside Fredricksburg about 8-9 years hunting until the owner died.It was amazing how many deer there were and how small they were.
It was a lot of fun.

I'm not trying to locate your ranch but would you tell me what County you're in there? I know someone looking in the "Coastal Plains" area and was wondering if they'll be in a Nilgai area

Brooks, Kennedy, Kleberg, and Willacy County’s for sure.

Not all of the counties are covered in them. Some only have them in parts of the county.

This is a deer that broke his leg last year and had the bone sticking out. Decided to pass on him last year to see if he lived and he did. Think he’s 5 so he will be on the hit list at 6.5 if he’s about the same next year. He’s got good mass and super wide but not much time length. Hoping he adds length next year but it won’t be much.

This buck I can’t tell if he’s 4.5 or 9.5. Can’t really find a good history on him so I’ll give him another year. Good frame and good length but not much mass.

Great buck with good mass and tine length. Really long brows.

10 this year that was a 9 last year and grew a small G4 right side.

4.5 year old 10 point with a kicker that I’ll try and give two more years.

Young 8 with good brows.

Another 10 with small G4’s that was an 8 last year.

Mature 8 that was a 7 last year. He’s been mia since the rut.

Light horned 10 I’ve got at 4.

The King Ranch imported Nilgai and these exotic beasts are located in counties that border the KR

Haven’t tried that yet. It looks very similar to Baffin Bay but a little more of a drive from the camp. Will have to go check it out next time

My neighbors are from Hebronnville. They're UT fans but I forgive them.

Great people.

I love that area. So peaceful.

I ditched that shitty Nikon scope on that Falkor that we ran out of adjustment on and put a NF ATACR F-1 on it.

It’s dialed in now and no recoil so it makes follow up shots easy.

Got a proper scope on that thing now.

I bought a nikon for my 22 when they exited the scope market. Cant even zero at a 100 with a 20moa base. Need to find something else for that.

Nilgai is terrible.
