Anyone have any good recommendations on where/how to look for arrowheads in Louisiana. I'm in the Acadiana region so any local references would be appreciated.

I've been meaning to visit Tunica Hills, so that's helpful. Thanks.

Yeah, I recommend you buy your own property and dig that up.

Got in a conversation about this back during hunting season. The details are kinda sketchy due to my level of intoxication Was talking with some guys who do a lot of arrow head hunting. One of the few things I remember was anywhere you find two creeks coming together are great spots. Sorry that's all I have

Not really close to you but Poverty Point is "the largest and most complex Late Archaic earthwork occupation and ceremonial site yet found in North America" I was raised not too far from there and found some there when I was younger. Havent been by there in a long time tho.

I've found quite a few and nope, ain't givin up info.

OK one spot. That park at Circle Drive on Toledo Bend has prehistoric shite. Find the midden heap. Will trip you out how obvious it is if you're looking.

Normally on hill tips overlooking one or two creeks as previously said. I've got hundreds from Mississippi where we soybean farmed.

Fresh tilled ground after one or two rains. Best time to look. Best bet is to talk to some farmers and ask politely if you could walk their fields. We used to let folks look at our place.

Word. Look for a high spot in a field that has a body of water near by.

Word again. They find lots of arrow heads around my house.
