Good day in Delacroix

Fished two of the lakes off of the twin pipelines. Caught 2 trout on my first stop with dead shrimp. Switched to purple matrix shad under a cork and caught 2-3 at each spot. Pattern was to catch a few and drift 20-30 yards and catch a few more more. Wind and tide were working against each other day. Didn’t find them stacked up until early afternoon and caught 12 at last stop. Used a death grip jig head and only went through two matrix shad all day. Water temp started at about 57 and ended at about 63 . Trout were hitting much harder once water warmed up on the flats.

Great trip- thanks for posting. Nice to know there are some trout in Delacroix. Have heard nothing but bad reports since November. Going to have to make a trip soon.
