Ah, forgot that it was fipronil. Here is the label/warnings for it.
Just keep it 15ft away it looks like.

Thanks, good to know. I use it for mole crickets too. It's the tits, but like you said- shite's expensive.

It really is but nothing that I’ve found works better.

Just pour the ant hills full of molten aluminum. Then you'd get a cool sculpture out of it

Mixed? What does the molasses do? a bait? My wife has found orange oil on the cheap on line and swears by it...Funny smelling around the house after she treats the yard/

gasoline 100% effective
yep kills the grass for a while but no more ants, EVER
pour it in a circle around the mound then wet the mound.
you dont have to drown them, just wet it enough so that the fumes go deep into the mound and the fumes kill the whole mound. and the wet gas instantly kills any that touch it.
DO NOT LIGHT IT ON FIRE, lighting it just burns off the gas fumes so it cant kill the ants.

When it comes to ants (fire), I get em by the shovel load and mix em up from mound to mound. They kill the queens and fricks em up for a good while.

Taurus. It will change your life. You're welcome.

Taurus and Top Choice are the same. (Fipronil)

For spot applications, Orthene. It stinks like hell, but it works. Area treatment helps a lot, but sometimes a mound will power through.

Order some Orthene. That top choice sounds good, BUT, my yard runs off into my pond. That has me scared of using it.

then dont use any of the broadcast insecticides...spot treat only.

Sorry, I down voted that crap. Yep, tried it. Ants moved 5' over.

That makes zero sense. Amdro is bait, not something that kills on contact. They go pick it up and bring it into the mound, and feed it to the other ants. You must be thinking of something else.
We used it in the LSU entomology lab, putting it in plastic dishes so the foraging ants would pick it up and not eat our moth colonies.
