I forgot the e-tool. Damn right many a foxhole dug with that and fire scrapes while camping.

Buy Muck Boots a little too big. Worth the extra money as boots are the go to shoes in the country.

My boys love the double cage trap set they have at tractor supply for $20. We've caught coons, opossums, and 1 skunk (this one was fun).

Sling Shot if they are too young for a BB gun.

Cheap Drone...lots of room to fly it.

For the older kids look at

Knifekits.com

You order the style of knife and it comes in a nice box and the kids have to put it together... teaches them something and they have something they can use for years to come

Give me some suggestions for Christmas gifts for the kids, from 2-9 years old.

Best present I ever got as young boy was a pair overalls with the left side pocket cut out.

I always had something I could play with in the most boring of times.

Honestly my favorite things growing up in the country were:
A huge pile of fill sand/dirt. No telling how many hot wheels, and plastic army men were lost in those epic battles.
A hammer with a coffee can full of bent nails. Got wood to build forts, tree platforms, and other things after I got the nails straight enough to use.
Box bike.

Plus a lot of other things already mentioned.

Add tweezers and a magnifying glass to the list. Used to be a Sunday tradition at our house line up and let dad dig with a needle in your foot.
