Last minute shopping and can't come up with a decent gift for my Pops. Looking for suggestions please. He is your typical 60 + outdoors man. Enjoys everything from beekeeping, gardening to fishing, hunting and bird watching. He still enjoys working daily as well. He is a simple man and has what he needs, but what's something I can get him that he will use?
Thank you in advance.

He like to cook? Get him something he can use to cook his veggies he grows, fish he catches and meat that kills. Hear electric smokers are all the rage right now.

A good hardback Sibleys guide to North American birds if he doesn’t have one already

Great call as I bought him a grill last year. Whole family buys him cookware so I was trying to stay away from that this year. He just recently bought a ceramic plate for his veggies.

I say this a lot but outdoors people need and enjoy knives!

Filet knife
Kitchen knife
Pocket knife

How about taking him for a family portrait?

This would be ideal for my grandmother. Not so much for my father.

Knife of some sort is a great idea. Maybe I can take him fishing and tell him how much he means to me

I gave up trying to find gifts for my dad. Dude just buys what he wants anyway.

I just get him a gift certificate to a nice steakhouse every year. They enjoy that more than anything.

How about a battery jump box to jump off the dead truck/boat/tractor/etc?

I just bought myself one this morning.

My dad is the same way. He’s really into gardening lately since they put in a pool. I bought his some nice unique yard art.

Gun? Gun bag for a pistol for which he may not have a holster? Bottlkeeper if he’s a drinker.
Pocket knife? Binoculars?

How bout a gift bag filled with fishing shite- popping corks, jig heads, leader material, hooks, various soft plastic lures?

ETA my dad was a bitch to shop for cause he had everything or went and got it himself. He always seemed to appreciate the simplest gifts.

This. I went and bought a nice pole, and a bunch of hooks, jigs, weights, etc. Also gonna use the idea from the thread to get a canvas picture made.
