Don't know if I should get a fixed one or adjustable one for a build. Any advice?

Why not get an adjustable block? Gives you more options for tuning the rifle especially if you will be suppressing the rifle.

There's no reason not to. I don't go to the trouble of replacing non-adjustable blocks on a properly functioning rifle, but if you're building it's just a few more bucks and easy insurance against a gas port that's too large, suppressing down the road, whatever. I like Seekins but there are plenty of choices.

I’ve had trouble getting mine to lock the bolt to the rear with my adjustable gas block. It doesn’t have an issue cycling rounds, just won’t lock to the rear.

Get one. I add them to my builds. But like other poster said I don’t change one that functions well.

Installed Odin adjustable on mine, love it. Was able to tune the rifle however I wanted. Gives you more options down the road than just buffer weights and springs as you change bullet weights, and I shoot suppressed.

If you get one, make sure you get a handguard that fits over it.
