Free range deer hunts

Thinking of making an out of state (LA) trip for 19-20 season. Thinking of a “free range” hunt rather than a public land hunt. Any suggestions?

So you want to pay a guide to take you hunting? Or am I not catching something here.

Yea basically to get some kind of semi guiding also the lodge amenities and such. Not trying to kill one on a leash.

Call Brad House at Illinois Whitetail and Waterfowl. They have what you're looking for. 919-422-2081 You can check them out on Facebook

Decide on weapon type, price, and trophy size and we’ll go from there.

Id also suggest narrow it down to an area of the country. You want to go to the Midwest? Maybe Texas? Kentucky/Tennessee area?

I would say north of here. Kentucky, Missouri, Illinois, Iowa. Rifle hunt, 150”+

Like others have said you need to get a budget First. The guided trips can range from around $1500 to as much as you want to spend.

One of my buddies (he posts here) spent like 4k on a semi guided hunt in bama and saw a spike

If you're wanting to go to the Midwest any these would be great, but Illinois and Iowa do not have rifle seasons. Missouri has one around the middle of November that catches the back end of their rut, so that might be your best bet. I'm not too sure about Kentucky as I have never hunted there.

You want to do a bowhunt?
Primetime Outfitters would be perfect.

Hi people!
I’ve been told that TGB has the best hunting lodge in Argentina.
Somebody knows this company?? Any tip or recommendation? https://tgboutfitters.com/
Thanks,

Do you own it, or do you just work there?

Went to Kansas last year for archery with a fellow ArcheryTalk member. Looking at possibly doing the same again this year as leases are impossible to get in around here.
Prices were not bad, nice place to stay in a small town.

You’re down to Missouri and Kentucky, as Illinois and Iowa don’t have rifle hunts.
Now you need to get down to budget.

I would strongly consider the lesser known Midwest states, places like Indiana, Nebraska, Missouri, etc. Parts of The Dakota’s can be great too.
You will not find great prime spots in Illinois and Iowa available as the prime weeks are booked a year in advance at a lot of places. Do you have a muzzleloader? Because you can use a muzzleloader in Iowa and Illinois, Illinois gun season is only 4 days and then 3 days.

I have never hunted with them, but talked to 180 Outdoors at a show before. Seemed to be pretty good guys. They have guided, semi-guided, DIY and leases in Kansas and Oklahoma. 180 Outdoors

Not totally committed to rifle hunts. Budget would be $5k for a 3-5 day stay killing buck and doe. I have a bow and muzzleloader as well. Mainly looking for good outfitters and options from personal experiences.
