Agreed. I prefer grilled but will take fried.

As for the other meat that isn't backstrap... fried or sausage.

It's like there's no bad way to cook it. Like crab meat, it's hard to screw up.

That's true.

Another thing my Grand Mow Mow taught me... you can fry the whole deer. Just cut perpendicular to the muscle. Across the grain, not with the grain.

Grilled is also good. Ill fry any part.

Like said. Cut against the grain and Tenderize.

I thought that was how all meat should be cut. Is it not?

Fried backstrap is the perfect camp meal. No dishes needed, big fan of salt and plack pepper method as well

I don't kill enough deer anymore

I like how fried backstrap tastes. And I like grilled filet better than backstrap.
