Tough part about having animals is that you outlive them. Always heartbreaking to hear these stories. Laying your best friend to rest is always hard to do.

G&G always brings the feels with their monthly dog stories.

... its well worth it... one line got me pretty teary eyed.... eerily similar to a cold rainy day in 96 when i put one of mine in the ground

I broke down and read it, then I kinda broke down remembering the last moments of one of the best dogs I ever had the pleasure of hunting over. His last moments I will never forget.

Buy a parrot or a turtle.

Just brought this one home Saturday. She is sleeping under my desk right now. Just said it was the tough part of having pets, didn't say it wasn't worth it.

Saw the title in this last G&G about being the most heart wrenching story yet and said nope...but still read your link. Here's Mack on his 2nd duck hunt this past weekend.

My wife and daughter named her...

Mocha, short for Chocolate Chip Mochassippi, since my wife loves coffee obviously.

You end up getting rid of all them pups? Timing wasn't right on our end with a new born, but I will definitely be looking to pick up one in July.

Enjoy your new pup.
This was my Molly's last hunt at 11 yrs old.
It's been several years, and I've got a new dog, but duck hunting's not the same for me anymore.

couple of questions for you

Do I remember you talking about breeding one of yours later in the year?

Don't you know a breeder in North Georgia? Contact info?
