Wait until Oct when you see rain in the forecast

That's what I decided to do. Plots are cut and chopped. Just waiting for a decent forecast.

And hope it’s not wait until November to see rain in the forecast!

Maybe they were harvester ants? Their mounds are several feet wide and they are notorious seed collectors.

Looks like there is the possibility of rain in the forecast next week.

Still too early to plant?

I’m going to plan to go next weekend and plant regardless.

Where are you planting? Are army worms a risk in your area?

Man you’re taking a risk of germination then drought again.

I’d wait couple more weeks till fronts start coming through with decent rain chances.

Problem is I don’t have any time to wait past next weekend. Soccer almost every weekend.

I did the same thing the last few years and just made sure to cover the seed up. Food plots did fine.

Looks like we are well on our way to planting in November for the third year in a row. This is absolutely crazy.

Only real weekend we have available is last weekend in September. Hoping some rain pops up in the forecast. I was going to day trip it this weekend with rain chances for Tuesday and Wednesday earlier in the week, but on cue, the chances disappeared on this mornings forecast.

And it works out just fine, no need to worry, just wait it out

Yeah showing 50% chance Wednesday and Thursday as the front moves in to CenLa. I can take off work Tuesday and day trip before the front but it’s 4 hours either way. I will be going next weekend regardless. Does putting seed down before the rain help that much more than planting just after a rain?

I’ve already mowed and sprayed. Planning to broadcast on top then pull a drag. I can hook up the disc if I need to but would rather not.

Wait another couple weeks, worst thing is to plant with 1/2” rain, seed germinatie and sprout and then no rain for a month, we seem to be in a very dry pattern, let a front or two come through to “break the seal”

I’m spraying after this rain. Then waiting on next rain beyond 14 days after that

I would but I’m busy with BS obligations until Nov 15. We got some rain today, going to day trip it on Tuesday to catch the rain wed and thurs and cross my fingers.

Lord knows I've been there.... sometimes you have to plant by the calendar rather than the weather!
