25 lbs Durana Clover
45 lbs Biologic DeerPlot
150 lbs Iron & Clay Peas
100 lbs Buck Forage Oats
5 lbs Rape/mustard greens/turnip mix

Hoping we get a little rain & it all comes up...

Sounds like an all season killing plot. I do a 50:50 mix of buck forage oats and barley, usually plant early to mid October. Those peas are like deer candy in early October. Good luck and hope you get a rack in the plot this season.

Too early for me too. We are planting on Oct 23.
We have way too many plots to chance it.

Better keep and eye out for army worms and spray immediately if you see them

A decade or so ago, I believe chicory was all the rage for food plots. Is that no longer planted?

shite I haven’t even bush hogged yet. Ida gonna push me back a few weeks.

What’s the best store bought mix for south MS?? Something that’s not mostly rye.

Probably do a couple clover plots and then use pre-mixes for the rest.

Army worms all over the place this year. Way to early. Hope it works out. We’ll plant the first weekend in October.

Counted 40plus trees that need to be cut just to access our plots. Hopefully we can get them done before first week of oct

Thanks. Just bought a small tract and working on getting it set up. Definitely doing a clover plot and I’ll try some peas. Last time I planted they nipped them all before they came up.
