I have a buddy that fishes collegiate and has been wearing them out on a wobblehead lately. I went and bought one but I've never fished with one before and was wondering if anyone had suggestions on: when to use it, what you throw with it, etc.

be prepared to hang up.... A LOT.... I would say fish it similar to a spinnerbait..... speed of retrieve and stuff will vary from day to day... let the fish tell you how they want it. Can be a good bait.... and can also be pretty frustrating at times too.

Different bait.

The wobble head is a bladed hook that makes a finesse or trick worm swim like a snake. The shakey head is a finesse worm bounced on the bottom with a jig head.

Pretty much. I like the red blade with a natural colored worm, and the silver blade with a smokin' shad worm.

I first heard about them from a guy fishing Lake Darbonne' a few years ago. I tried when I heard it was working and did well with it. I've never seen someone else throwing it. Until this thread, I had forgotten about them honestly.

I don't have time for these games again today. It's Monday and my office is busy.

we used to hammer them on the Ouachita River with them... kinda' just stopped using them about 3 years ago. I may need to bring some out of retirement and see if they still catch 'em.
