Speaking of, I just bought two brand new 1000s and need more Nano. Gliss looks like it's going away. Pineville Marine will make a good lunch trip.

I've been fishing them wacky for more than 10 years and over time it has produced better that Texas rigged. I go exclusively weightless and alternate between weedless hooks and light wire hooks without a guard. Your line choice will play a part in the presentation when weedless, it affects the fall of the bait and can be a difference in you embarrassing your fishing partner that day.

I love the green nano. Seems to handle better than the white as well as being less visible.

Totally agree. I sure wish the 4 was more durable. That stuff flies off a reel, even with a 1/32 jig head.

Yeah i think i have 10 rolls of Flouro and 1 roll of mono in my box. My choices usually come down to 12 vs 17lb flouro

I've alway used 12lb for senko thinking it helps it fall 'straighter'? Not really sure if that is true or not.

I don't think you're gonna see a substantial difference in rate of fall between 12 and 17 flouro, I think it's mainly a floating vs sinking line deal. I could be wrong, I treat senkos as a necessary evil that is to be tolerated when I cant catch them any other way.

Check out the wack a sack hooks by frenzy. I watched a video of them a couple weeks ago by tactical bassin. Gonna def try those this year. Had good luck with wacky rigs in lacassine last year.

I use gamagatsu wacky hooks, but I don't hook the weed guard to the point of the hook. I just leave it up to deflect anything that may hang the bait. Works just fine and doesn't get in the way on bites. I have had that happen before when engaging the guard to the hook.

I don't use a nail in the spring when they are shallow, but during the heat of the summer fishing deep I use a finishing nail to weight weight the head.

It's my favorite bait. I don't always catch a bunch, but I can make them bite it 13 months out of the year.

Watermelon red is a good starter color. I'm not divulging any more info on that as I have some top secret colors/variations I really like that I keep to myself.

Yeah that style of hook jig combo has been out for several years under different names and techniques. Frenzy just put a name on it. Generally that's a "jika" rig with the articulating weight direct connected to the hook. Frenzy just paired it with a trapper hook. Probably works really well. TX rigged, that setup is really effective punching as well.

Intersting. It looks like you would get hung up like crazy, as it doesnt look like you can skin hook it

thats an interesting though.

yeah i've killed them them on junebug KVD Ocho...definitely my favorite. But fishing last weekend my buddy caught 25 to my 8. Fishing same lure, same color, pretty much the same place. Me fishing Texas, him wacky.

I refused to believe it's because he's a better fisherman than i am.

Didnt realize it was on a trapper hook. Heard some not so great things about those from some, good things from others. But the good things i heard were from ppl i believe are sponsored by trapper hooks.
