Anyone fished the river at Beaver's Bend State Park in Oklahoma? Going in June and would love some in sight.

Are you fishing the lake or the trout stream? There’s a fly shop on the trout stream that can get you lined out.

Fished the river (trout stream) last summer. The bait shop near the entrance is awesome and they’ll get you lined up as said. I Hired a guide day 1 to show us the ropes since we’d never done it before and it was very worth it. After that my 10yo and me would hit it each morning and catch/ release 3-4 trout
We hooked a little grub/ jig head wacky and fished it finesse style on the bottom in deep parts of the river. Also had luck on the spillway

We went last February. I got a guide for me and my 7 year old. It was awesome. We caught our limit in about two hours. It would have been sooner, but it was way more finesse than we are used to. My son kept trying to set the hook like it was a 5lb bass and kept missing the fish. We fished around the small dam early, and then moved down to the "beach area". That's where we did the best. We used small circle hooks with small plastic worms. If you get a guide, Steve Branson is the guy.

Bring your crawfish traps and you can catch your fill too.

Check out spillway creek. It doesnt get as crowded as the spots near the camps. You can access it from the top at the dam or at the bottom near the bridge when you park at the "Friends Trail Loop" lot.

Those coords put you at the bottom access. I caught a lot right at the bridge a few years ago but you can scale the rocks north towards the dam and work the pools also.
