Other than the obvious of just replacing ground meat for tacos, spaghetti or similar, which we do somewhat often, whatever we would use ground meat for is replaced with ground deer.
Typical week night meals are:
Seasoned ground meat and rice (add a touch of Worcestershire)
Seasoned ground meat and sweet potatoes
“Egg roll in a bowl” is what my wife calls calls it, but it’s cabbage and ground meat.

Low quality ground pork and ground beef from the supermarket are better than deer. No one actually likes a deer burrito more than a beef one or pork one seasoned the same way.
But you shot the fricker, might as well eat it

Throwing deer in a burrito doesn’t magically make it better. I’ve enjoyed them because I like meat and am not picky but it is what it is. Most people are getting burritos made with a pinch of cheese, dry spices and heating in a microwave. Not gourmet but sure it’s good enough for a dollar a burrito. Could do the same shite with any other meat yourself.
Chili works because you can’t taste the meat unless you do huge cubes of it.
Anything else is better with any other meat product. Hamburger steak with deer meat deserves a slap. Dry arse hamburger patty is what you get.

Brown ground venison, mix with cream cheese, put in egg roll and fry.

One I do that wasn’t mentioned is Sheppard’s pie. I put a little twist on it and it’s good and different.

Good addition. My boys would plow a venison Shepards Pie growing up, and I could slip in peas and carrots to make it more healthy.

We do burritos and smash burgers once a week. Sometimes a chill or meat loaf

Burritos are good but seems like it’s more dough than filling. When I add more filling it rolls into a mess. I’ve switched to empanadas. Easier.

It’s hard to remember how we use it throughout the year, then you read the thread and remember meatloaf, hamburger helper, and Shepard’s pie. Made a veggie soup last week.
We don’t buy ground meat, deer meat replaces all ground meat meals throughout the year, the only exception for us is burgers, or stuff to mix with the deer meat, like in meatballs or meatloaf. I’ll make burgers with deer meat, but our grind is very lean; probably a 90/10 if you were to buy it, so when I want a greasy grilled burger I’m going get some 80/20, to either mix with the deer, or just make it by itself.
