I've got a 2019 F150 that gets an intermittent squeak that sounds like a vague high pitch ringing inside the cab and when the window is down, you can hear the sound bouncing off curbs, other cars, etc. Definitely coming from the wheel well. Maybe wheel/hub assembly? Bearing?

The rub is it only occurs between 25mph and 45/50mph, and goes away after being driven for a while and also totally disappears once I hit 20mph while braking.

Has anyone ever had this issue or heard of it? I had my brakes checked thinking it was an indicator, but they said plenty of life left on the pads and everything looked good mechanically and couldn't reproduce the sound (of course). Started 5min after leaving

Driving me nuts! TIA

sounds like the brake pads to me, maybe the calipers need grease and arent releasing as they should.

and the obligatory ford is trash and chevy is too so trade it in and buy a dodge

Just put some deodorant on it, that fixes all the squeaks I see on instagram.

This can be very deceiving when listening to sound bouncing off curbs.

My rubber tailgate stops squeak when dry. White lithium grease spray gets them quiet.

Agree, I had a squeek I thought was from front end but was the tailgate. Common issue if you google it. Some electrical tape to make it fit tighter and white lithium solved it.

I've heard of that year model having a whistling sound coming from the throttle body. There's some youtube videos about it. Maybe check that out and see if that's similar to what you are hearing.

I know you said it's coming from the wheel well, and my truck is not an F150, but I had a squeaking sound that ended up being from the water pump leaking coolant on to the belt. Not something I expected at all, so figured I'd share. Maybe the belt location could make it appear it's coming from the wheel well?

Another time, I had a brake caliper pin stuck that was squeezing part of the brake pad to the rotor even when the brakes weren't engaged and that made a good bit of sounds also. When I took out the brake pads, the wear on them made it obvious there had been a problem.

I’ve got a 2011 F 150 with 180,000 miles. That sounds like an issue I had 2 or 3 years ago.

IIRC, there was play in the front wheel and it would rub on the thin metal shield in the wheel well and make a high pitch sound. IIRC, I replaced the front wheel bearings - I know I replaced them & I think that was the solution to the noise. Don’t remember doing anything else.

They are expensive, $100 to $200, but my son replaced them at the house. The hardest part was getting the electrical connectors apart.

I thought it was the transmission or a u joint but the mechanics I took it to said those were fine. I don’t recall why I decided to replaced the wheel bearings.
