I finally read through it all.
The wife an I really enjoyed meeting everyone. She was more than gracious, and decided to be a DD early in the evening and even ran interference for me later in the evening when the whisky started talking for me. I have to admit I am a lucky man having her. I know there were a few OB in attendance that I really did not meet and I regret that. Maybe, as mentioned several times last night, we can try to set up some type of annual OB get together.
I enjoyed talking with each of you and don't have space to cover each.
In particular:
Judge: you are every bit the gentleman in person I had thought you were on here.
Boss: we definitely need to hang out more. You are one funny guy
Nascar: you and your wife are truly great. Mrs. BP commented specifically how much she liked Mrs. Nascar
Smack and wife: Yall are certainly good people in my book. I thought it was great seeing both of you.
LSUcouyon, I really appreciated talking with you and hope things all work out.
It was truly an honor to shake Fish's hand and inspect that wonderful piece of work. The fact that he was taught to build them at 8 yrs old, and that his son has not really shown an interest in carrying on the tradition was not over looked in our conversation. I will be taking off some time in mid spring to bring my wife an boys over and get a little hands on education building one.
The math for the evening is really astounding. if you figure there were 400 in attendance and half of those attending were couples, you end up with 300 households spending over 150K. That means on average every household spent more than $500.
Jason's Family and close friends,
I would like to thank each of you for the warm reception, frequent embraces, and the opportunity to get to know a good man a little bit more through each of you. What I gained from attending and contributing was far greater than what I put in. It is sadly rare in today's society that a group of people, even loved ones and family, exhibit this level of support for others. As I stated previously I think part of the reason for this level of support was the ability to apply it toward someone of similar values. As a society we have continued to shy away from negative statements and actions based on value in fear of offending others. It has reached the point, in my opinion, that we now similarly fear making openly positive statements and actions in support of those true values of worth. This event, the people who attended, and the contributions made all stand in stark contrast of that trend.

Purp, I held you in high regard prior to our meeting. You are every bit the class act I anticipated.

Judge is the epitome of a true southern gentleman, even though he's from west Monroe

For years I worried you would be upset with me for smothering you that night at the Hank concert in Funroe

Ha, you saved me from getting my head knocked off. Funny thing is I ended up finding hanks guitar pick on the ground during all that.

Yes that balances my chemicals

Never knew you got a Hank guitar pick out of the deal. At any rate your brother would have very "disappointed" in me if I had let any harm befall you.

I'm proud we drank them out of alcohol.
Guess the club isn't used to serving our kind.
And it wasn't even that late when we drank em dry.

I didn't get a chance to spend much time with many of you that came in for the event as I would have liked. By the time the event was over and we all made it to the bar, either I couldn't understand some of they couldn't understand me. I am glad each and every one of you were able to make it and also thankful for our relationship here. It is amazing how you meet someone and remember things about them from a website, as if you knew them forever. I think that is cool as shite. I hope I can somehow return the favor to each and every one of you down the road.
This whole ordeal since the beginning has made me refocus and prioritize the things in my life, and I'm certain it did the same for everyone that was in that room Wednesday night. For that, I'm rejoicing the impact Jason Philip Deal had on so many lives. It gives me comfort in dealing with this by knowing even though it literally killed him, it made many more people better as a whole. You guys have helped many more people deal with this situation than you will ever know.

I'm seriously getting worried about FishFighter...
His last post was before the event.
Has anyone heard from him personally? Or have contact info to be able to check on him?

I don't know what the lowest thing was but I'm proud to say our duck hunt went for the most. It out did a three day hunt at Giles Island. That made me proud.
I really wanted that trip, but being set for next years season, I can't plan that far in advance.
I did buy a trip for two at Salt lake hunting Club were ever that is. Just wished it was for 4.
