Sorry for yout loss MSG.

I didnt want to say anything yesterday. However I lost my Uncle last year on Dec. 12th in a very similar accident. I knew he went out doing something that he loved and that was running dogs in the swamp. May peace be with and your family in yall time of need.

Dam that's tough. I seldom wear my life jacket in my go devil boat. I take my skills for granted. I have to change my ways. Keep strong friend

I am so sorry for your family's loss. I'll be praying for y'all.

I would strongly encourage everyone to get a comfortable life jacket and whenever you are in a boat/kayak just wear it. You will get comfortable with it and not even realize it's there after a while. Everyone be careful out there.

He wasn't hunting. They had been fishing, and were on their way back. The kill switch was on his wrist. Two guys were in front of him and when they realized he wasn't there, they turned around and found the boat. Don't know why he was in that boat. It wasn't his. He didn't own one.

This....

thoughts and prayers with your family....

and don't buy the line of "you sink with waders" I got ejected from a boat in 1998 wearing waders - swam just fine - a pretty far chunk too - have not been in a boat dunk hunting without a life jacket since.

neoprene waders if tight act a lot like a wet suit - the other ones - not so much - but neither "sink" you. - they do make it harder to swim.

I know that nothing anybody posts is gonna make you feel better.

Talking about life jackets and safety prolly just makes this worse.

I'll sincerely pray for you and your family today.
