How big of a mako? Was thinking of running out there in my 16 foot kenner bay boat but might think better of it with these wind forecasts.

Fished east timbalier, casse tette, and calumet. Got a wet arse on way out. Roughest I've seen It. Water was dirty, managed to catch about 20 undersized trout and white trout. Kept one..other boat kept 4 small reds, and a few trout...eff the wind

Fished the north side of lake boudreaux. Hopped from duck pond to duck pond looking for clean water. It was a little tricky setting up with the breeze but we managed to trick a few reds into eating. The didn't want crab patterns or baitfish patterns, only gold or white gotchas.

Tomorrow is looking a little rough. Might be a and kind of day.

Yes we were all over the place and I got soaked to my sack on the ride out and the ride in. I was bitching on the ride out(not how I wanted to start my day) but it was kinda refreshing on the way back in. Regardless it was a nice day on the water.

When I was coming back in from last isle there was a 16' Boston whaler heading out. Poor bastards.

Were you in a ranger skiff? If so, that was me trailering in front of you.

Fished Boudreaux also with a bunch of guys in yaks. We caught quite a few trout mostly undersized though. Headed north in the ponds to try and sight to fish for some reds but only managed one up there. Caught some more right off the canal though blind casting.
Anyone else in Boudreaux feel like the water was crazy high? It was tough trying to see reds with water that high

Caught 9 reds and 8 black drum in Delacroix Sunday. Wind picked up way quicker than I was expecting.

Got to Dulac around 3, did some work before hitting the water but we got 2 solid hours in before sundown. Pulled out a bunch of rat reds from around Bubba D with 1 bull...fished boudreaux and got more in the slot.

Gonna start with Turtle Bayou and Last Isle in the morning and hop around Lake Pelto till we get on some specks..hopefully. Wind looks promising enough
