Caught about 40-50 trout today. 3 reds and a few drum. All trout over 12 inches, caught a few 16-18 inch trout in lost lake. I'm now idling to the camp. Spun a bushing. Good times.

The specks are on at the Point too. Weeks Bay, Mud Point, Trash Pile...early in the morning though.

Any reds in the marsh around there. U were helpful in my thread but my buddy went today to all my spots and only managed 2 keeper reds. My mom wants some trout so my sister and I are gonna launch the yaks off and go get some reds if that's possible while they go for trout. Thanks

Makes sense, marsh went dry several days in a row. Actually watches them leave our pond and we stayed to kill our last bird. We were lucky enough I watch them return 6 hrs later when our decoys finally started floating.

Thanks. Was hopin to try out my new 8 weight. Bought it for steelheads in tribs off lake Erie but was gonna try it out this weekend. Sounds like I should have left it up there. Really just want to get out in the marsh. The smallies have kept me occupied the last few months but miss the gettin way back where I like to think nobody has fished before

Getting an 8wt outfit for my b day. Pretty excited. Can't wait to hook up with a fish in the marsh on one.

Here's the picture of what we kept. Only kept about half the trout because I didn't feel like cleaning a bunch.

Hell Hole and old oyster bayou area are slap full of reds too. Those ponds are full of crabs and they are wearing them out. We've been shooting them with bows when we leave the blinds in the morning.
