Thanks, I used to check reports there a while back, but haven't visited the site in a while. I will check out what they have regarding kayak fishing.

What makes you say this?
Hackberry Kayak Fishing Spots
Posted by redline39 on 5/20/13 at 1:44 pm
I am new to kayak fishing and have never fished the Hackberry/Big Lake area before. I plan on going this weekend and would appreciate some guidance on a few spots to hit for reds and specks and also some places to put in. I am not asking for specific "holes" but more or less a general area where to fish that's easy to get to by kayak. TIA.

Yea if you zoom in you can see it a lot clearer. The bottom right part of his neck looks like where is was pasted.

Is this still going on?
Any other pics from different angles?
If not, then I would bet that its been tampered with.

Sweet baby Jesus those are some big does!
I've been pheasant and turkey hunting in Kansas a few times with deer running around everywhere. Some of the does I saw were just as big, if not bigger, than most bucks I've killed in LA. They're huge.
125-130...not too tall of a rack

I could see it working great for skeet. If you're missing your shots, you can see where your BBs are going when you miss. It would be a good training tool.

Just curious...what's the point?
Are just the BB's colored or does it act like a paintball would and color the feathers? If it penetrates then wouldnt you have to clean it in order to tell who shot it? What if you wanted to mount it?
Also if your stopped by game wardens and one "color" is over the limit then you are screwed. Just a thought.

Does he hunt from ground blinds/on the ground from time to time? What about a shooting stick?

The specks are on at the Point too. Weeks Bay, Mud Point, Trash Pile...early in the morning though.

The Equalizer is able to level to trees that have changing diameters as you climb up. I have been using it for years, and while I am only 200 lbs, this stand has an XL version that can hold more weight (and has a wider seat). It also has three different seat positions to choose from.
I have climbed many of other stands and haven't felt more safe than in an equalizer (especially on pine trees).

Equalizer Climber
Sweet picture
Ok I know Louisiana Sportsman predicted it would be earlier in November, but I haven't seen any action as of late. I've been seeing a few rubs and scrapes pop up also. Plan on going this weekend and for Thanksgiving. Thanks for the info, if anybody else has heard or seen anything please post.
Area 2 Rut
Posted by redline39 on 11/13/12 at 2:40 pm
Anybody hunt in area 2 (preferably DeSoto Parish), that can comment on the rut. Has it passed or not?
Thanks.
Thanks.
