Morning boys. I am looking for a hunt within driving distance of Shreveport. So the 8/10 hour range would be the max. We did it last year north of Abilene, and had a blast. Will go with the same outfit, but just wanted to see if anyone else had some suggestions. Trying to diversify a bit. Thanks for the help!

I've done it from El Campo, TX to Perryton, TX and a place or two in between. Panhandle is where it's at. North of Amarillo. Especially for cranes.

We went with Finish Line Outdoors last year and are going again in January. They are located in Frederick, Ok, north for Wichita Falls, Tx. Really good guys. We had a lot of fun.
We did not get to hunt the cranes as they were not able to pattern them well enough. We hunted little geese and ducks. Did very well the first day, 36 geese and 14 widgeon. The other 2 days were ok, 12 birds a day. We did an afternoon duck hunt. Ducks showed up a few minutes too late, but what a show! Evening Mallards in Ok
Wichita Mountains Refuge is close by and it was well worth the drive over. We saw a bunch of elk, deer, bison and long horn cattle.

We had all unloaded our guns by then. It was the most mallards I have ever seen. One of the guys walked out taking pictures, the ducks would fly 20-30 yards and get righ down.

Hate it when that happens. Wood ducks are famous for that.

Did a a few years ago with big honker outfitters in Lubbock. Incredible goose and duck action in the morning and cranes in the afternoon.

Yeah I’ve worked at the P66 refinery in Borger a handful of times. The bird hunting up there is unreal
