I visited Academy here in New Orleans but didn't see any fast grass yet. Where does everyone buy their fast gras for dressing out duck boats? Online?

Anyone see any screaming deals they want to share? TIA

AubieALUMdvm, do you find the raffia get pretty nasty about 1/2 way through the season? I don't store the boat inside, so it gets fairly wet.

I could see it doing that.

My raffia is attached to a canvas which I roll up and put in a dry place after each hunt.

Not a big fan of fast grass, I hunt the marsh and get raffia grass. You can pick it up at cabelas or order from Jsterns. Jsterns is who supplies Cabelas and any chain that sells raffia packaged up. You can get it for about 1/2 the price you'd pay compared to any of the major retail stores.

If you're going to leave it out in the weather it's gonna be done after a year and you are gonna waste a decent bit of money. I'd try to find a way to get it out of the rain. Like Aubie I use tarp as a backer to my camo netting and raffia. It allows me to roll it up and have the tarp on the outside keeping things dry and intact during travel. When I get home I'll pop the blind up under the carport if it's been wet. Should last you a few years
