What mix of dogs are these. Some sort of hound I presume?

They are pups, I'm guessing at about four months. They were dumped on my lease this weekend about starved to death. I picked 'em up and have them, but I'm trying to get folks to adopt them. I keep getting questions about their breed type.

Also, who wants a potentially top notch coon dog for free?

1/2 Catahoula
1/4 Blue Tick
1/4 Lab

Final answer.

The brindle coloring is what is throwing me off. I searched and came up with Tennessee treeing brindle

Yeah. Me too. I researched and came up with Plott. Who knows?

What I do know is I really cannot use two more dogs (I have two), and these dogs friendly personality and good demeanor with my other dogs and my kids is starting to make me nervous.

If I didn't have 3 big dogs, I would take one or even 2.
And my female doberman is about to go into heat, so my male is acting like a real a-hole right now.

Man, doesn't mean that they can't be great dogs, but somebody probably didn't spend money on purebred dogs to dump the pups out in the woods.

You've got some straight up Heinz 57 and that what you need to tell folks.

Good on you for taking them in, but the world if full of unwanted dogs, you might have a hard time finding takers.

Man that second photo. That's a little squad right there. Would be tough to separate them.

Where are you located?

mountain curs can be brindle as well. I have a black mountain cur and if the sun hits her coat just right, then you can see the brindle pattern. They will also be yellow, black or brindle.

If you are serious, maybe we can enlist the OB to make this happen. Folks travel 49 and 10 everyday.
