CC question:
I had a CC few years back, expired didn't renew it w/ the headaches.
If i re-apply for CC, do i have to do finger printing all over again? I mean, last i checked those squiggly lines didn't change ( that they know of)

I'm the same way. They said if it's expired more than 6 months you have to apply as a new applicant, not a renewal.
I didn't do it yet, but probably will soon.
Eta: to the OP, I didn't carry often enough to feel comfortable with it. And I usually drink when out at night so my actual concealed carrying was minimal.

If you renew within 60 days after the expiration of the old permit, you don't have to get new prints. Since you'll be within the 60 day "grace period," you'll be submitting a renewal application.**
Starting on the 61st day, you do gotta get prints made. You'll be submitting a new application.
In both cases you'll have to show proof of having completed an approved concealed carry class within the previous 12 months.
** You cannot carry concealed during the 60 day "grace period." I'm not really sure why it's called that -- all you really gain is not having to get printed.

Thanks for all of your answers.
I wasn't looking for anything in particular.
I used to hunt a lot when I was in my teens/20's, and seem to recall a slightly different attitude when I was armed. Sometimes, even out fishing at night and such, open carrying (or not so open)...
Maybe a more subdued attitude, but knowing some situations could be handled that day that otherwise couldn't.
I enjoy reading CC comments and such, and didn't recall attitudes being discussed.
Thanks again

I don't carry but I would say that if your attitude changes while carrying then you probably shouldn't be carrying.

I don't carry either.
Did you mean that towards those that commented otherwise?
It seemed about 50% admitted some type of attitude change. (and not that it was a bad change)
I just don't understand your comment.

That would depend on HOW one's attitude changed. Like others have said, my attitude changed in a number of ways: I developed a lot better "situational awareness"; I became much more careful of avoiding situations and environments that are riskier than others; I'm more aware of the safety of those I'm around; I'm more accepting of the idea that I'm responsible for my immediate safety (and my loved ones w/ me), not a law enforcement agency. For me, cc doesn't carry any bravado w/ it.

My attitude changes in so far as I hope I don't have to use it. But mostly I don't think about it.
