The one time I didnt wear mine , was in a lean to.
I stood up to grab my bow when I saw a deer, then did the Wiley Coyote going off a cliff dance.
I saw my life flash infront of me. I regained my balance, and couldn't calm down for a few minutes.
I've never left it on the bike, or at the camp since.

I had a similiar experience in a ladder stand. Was a scary split second and took a while for me to stop shaking and calm down. I just knew I was going off head first when the stand twisted a little on me and I always wear one now.

That feeling sucked, because you can't blame anybody but yourself for feeling that stupid.
But yeah, you feel like you're gonna face plant no matter what.
Tk can learn from us BarD. Get the harness, and don't leave it at the camp.

Finer than a count hair that's been sanded and split 3 ways?

yeah,, the kind that will go on down... that other kind, sometimes you need a bite of whitebread and a swaller of milk to get it to pass...

I wear it religiously. If I forget it, then I'm not climbing that day. There's too many pro's and not enough con's to warrant going without one. I can promise you if ya ever had a stand slip with ya,then you'll never climb without one. Ya owe it to the folks that care about ya to wear it. Plus the one pictured is comfortable

My Gorilla is rated for 300lbs.
What's that job good for?

I've never worn one. I probably need to, especially in some of the lock ons I've got hung. I can't see myself falling out a climber though.

Getting in and out of a lock on is the most dangerous time. Every person I personally know that fell, did so during this move.

No doubt.

Yep. I hate lock ons with shooting rests because of this.
And I like wearing my harness for my naps as well. Just lean forward till it catches, and hang. It's really comfortable. But it will scare the shite out of you when you wake up and you are staring at the ground 30' below you
